13 A Restorer

    A Restorer
#13 in the Series:  My Daddy Is…

Last summer we had a fire in our motor home.  Fortunately, it was only in the engine compartment and we were at a repair shop when it happened!  How’s that for God looking out for us!   The process of repair
required time and a significant outlay of cash.  Fortunately, our insurance covered most of it.  The repairs restored the functioning of the vehicle and the insurance restored most of the cash outlay.

God is also in the restoration business.  In fact, he doesn’t just restore things to their previous condition but better than before.  He makes all things new!

“Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.”
    ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭71:20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.”
    ‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭9:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”
    ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Jesus said, "Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.”
    ‭‭Mark‬ ‭10:29-30‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."”
    ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:5‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new.”
    ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭TPT‬‬

    1. Now…pray and ask Holy Spirit to highlight something from this post and to teach you. (Perhaps he already highlighted something as you were reading!). Close your eyes and be silent before him for a minute or two...or more.  Breathe in Holy Spirit.  (Yes, actually inhale.)  Listen.  Open your eyes and peruse the post.  What does your eye see or your ear hear?  Write it in your journal.

    1. Why does it seem important?  You could even ask:  Father/Jesus/Holy Spirit, why have you brought this to my attention?  Write the answer in your journal.  (The answer may be a question…an I wonder.  Allow Holy Spirit to direct your thoughts.)

    1. Make it a prayer.  Pray the scripture (and it’s insights, questions, or comments) back to the Father.  Write this in your journal.

    1. How are you going to be different after this experience with God?  What does he want you to be or do as a result?  If you are not sure, ask him.  Write this in your journal.

I look forward to this journey with you!  Onward to freedom for your mustang heart!

P.S. I will be sharing some of my insights and experiences in the comments as examples for you.   I cherish your comments below and emails at:  joyfullcoyote@gmail.com.  Share on social media.  (If you receive this in your email, you may need to visit the webpage (link is in the footer) to find the share buttons.)  If you don’t receive it in your email, sign up for auto delivery at the top of the right hand column on the webpage.  Be blessed today!
