5God Winks: The Father's Eyes

I was thinking about the gift of God’s presence when he gave me that sunrise (Present of Presence) and was reminded of another time he gifted me with his presence in such a special way that others could not believe my peace!

God Winks:  Roller Coasters and Rainbows
#19 in the Series:  Daddy, It's Me--Conversations of an Ordinary Person with an Extraordinary Heavenly Father

Sometime ago—in early JAN I think—the Lord said to hang on for a wild ride! And wow it sure has been a wild ride when it comes to re-homing the horses!

God Winks:

Present of Presence

#17 in the Series:  Daddy, It's Me--Conversations of an Ordinary Person with an Extraordinary Heavenly Father

I woke this morning with these words in my mind:
I just want to bask in your presence.
I want to wrap in your love
I want to breathe in your essence
Holy Spirit from above

God Winks

God Winks
#16 in the Series:  Daddy, It's Me--Conversations of an Ordinary Person with an Extraordinary Heavenly Father

Have you ever had a situation where things were just too coincidental!  Something happened or you unexpectedly met a person that changed the whole trajectory of your day (or your life!). Maybe it was something that someone else might not even have noticed but it touch you deeply, where you needed to be touched in that moment:  a text from a friend, a quote from someone famous or not so famous, picture, an object that reminded you of God’s presence or situation that was just too good to be true.

I used to call these, “God things” but a friends of mine gave them a better name:  God winks.  And when they are bigger, how about, “God smiles?”

5 TELL ME A STORY: ROCK CRIES OUT

My broken but healed heart
Tell Me A Story:  Rock Cries Out
#15 in the Series:  Daddy, It's Me--Conversations of an Ordinary Person with an Extraordinary Heavenly Father

This event was originally published on my Joyful Savvy blog on February 7, 2019.  It is another amazing example of how God speaks through nature and I couldn't resist sharing it again here.  Enjoy!

I was out for my (near daily) walk. I was thinking about so many things and praying, trying to get God’s perspective on the many things going through my mind. In particular I was thinking about the things I needed to do to get flowing again on the freedom of the heart ministry (Mustang Heart) and telling the Lord that even though it is something that I think I will love, I could not love it more than him and asking again if I was on the right track.

This "parable" was originally posted on August 6, 2016
on my Joyful Savvy blog.  It is such a great example of how God speaks through nature, I could not resist sharing it again here along with an update.

Dead Wood, Spotlights and Fresh Opportunities

I have been very busy the last five months.  So busy that I have journaled very little and was beginning to feel drained physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  Finally we got a chance to spend some undemanding time in the wilderness near the North Fork John Day River.

3 Tell Me A Story: Mountains Made Low

Tell Me A Story:  Mountains Made Low

#13 in the Series: Daddy, It's Me--Conversations of an Ordinary Person with an Extraordinary Heavenly Father

I grabbed the handles of the wheel barrel and shoved them forward.  The wheels reluctantly straggled off limping over the ridges and ruts left by the trucks after a rain.  What was easier, wheeling the load over the rough terrain or fixing the geography so that every other load in the future would be easier?

2Tell Me A Story: God's Compost

Tell Me A Story:  God's Compost
#12 in the Series:    Daddy, It's Me--Conversations of an Ordinary Person with an Extraordinary Heavenly Father

I was exhausted. I could not hold my eyes open any longer. I had been reading and meditating and studying the power of the fruit of the Spirit, especially love. As I turned off the light and settled in to doze off, I asked the Lord “What do you want to tell me about love?”
