Love Letters: All About ME!

Love Letters:  All About ME!
#4 in the Series: Daddy, It's Me--Conversations of an Ordinary Person with an Extraordinary Heavenly Father

When you think of love letters, it is obvious that they are personal and intimate.  Although some scripture is written from the personal perspective, inserting your name and personal pronouns such as “l”, “me”, and “mine” can truly make a piece of scripture come alive in very personal way.
After you pray and ask the Lord for revelation and after you have read the scripture out loud, insert your name and the personal pronouns in such a way that it reads for you personally. Here’s an example:

“And his fullness fills (me, your name), even though (I was) once like (a corpse), dead in (my) sins and offenses. It wasn’t that long ago that (I) lived in the religion, customs, and values of this world, obeying the dark ruler of the earthly realm who fills the atmosphere with his authority, and works diligently in the hearts of those who are disobedient to the truth of God. The corruption that was in (me) from birth was expressed through the deeds and desires of (my) self-life. (I) lived by whatever natural cravings and thoughts (my mind) dictated, living as (a) rebellious (child) subject to God’s wrath like everyone else. But God still loved (me) with such great love. He is so rich in compassion and mercy. Even when (I was) dead and doomed in (my) many sins, he united (me) into the very life of Christ and saved (me) by his wonderful grace! He raised (me) up with Christ the exalted One, and (I)  ascended with him into the glorious perfection and authority of the heavenly realm, for (I am) now co-seated as one with Christ! Throughout the coming ages (I) will be the visible display of the infinite, limitless riches of his grace and kindness, which was showered upon (me) in Jesus Christ.

For it was only through this wonderful grace that (I) believed in him. Nothing (I) did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the gracious gift from God that brought (me) to Christ! So (I) will (never) be able to boast, for salvation is never a reward for good works or human striving. (I) have become his poetry, a re-created (person) that will fulfill the destiny he has given (me), for (I, my name, am) joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before (I was) born, God planned in advance (my) destiny and the good works (I) would do to fulfill it!”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:1-10‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Now—and please don’t skip this step—
Read it again,
OUT LOUD,
emphasizing the personal pronouns, especially “I” and “me”.
Do it again and again if necessary
until the wonder of the passage sinks in to your mind,
your soul,
your spirit…
your heart.

Breathe in (yes, actually inhale) the Holy Spirit of wisdom and revelation, comfort and strength and exhale fear, doubt and insecurity.  Close your eyes and just bask in the the presence/presents of his love…

And allow him to free your mustang heart!
